How does PWM control work in DC centrifugal fans?

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) allows users to adjust the fan speed by varying the duty cycle of the signal sent to the motor. This ensures smooth fan speed modulation, lower energy consumption, and quieter operation. Most fans accept 0–100% duty cycle signals at 25kHz frequency. It’s ideal for systems where airflow must respond dynamically to heat, pressure, or occupancy sensors.
